This documentation is not what we would consider complete or finished. It was hastily converted from our FullWrite master documents into DOC Maker files. Much of the formatting and layout got lost in the translation (notably tables.)
These documents were written originally for the PenPoint version of Codeworks. You will therefore often need to translate PenPoint's pen gestures into mouse motion. The conversion should be fairly obvious: tap becomes click, double tap becomes double-click, etc. Some gestures have no clear mapping: To do any gesture on an object, command-click on the object to bring up a pop-up menu of commands specific to that object. Any command a gesture can do is listed in these pop-up menus.
There are three manuals and a manualette:
Getting Started With Codeworks - A brief introduction to the system.
Tutorial.doc - a short tutorial for the complete beginner
Scripting.doc - an introduction, tutorial and reference to the Glyphic Script Language.
Extra.doc - some additions to the Scripting manual
You will find references to the Procedures Manual in these works. This manual, which is a 'how-to' guide to the Codeworks environment has yet to be converted to DOC Maker format (it is over 200 pages...)
Lastly, note that these documents are DOCMaker files and are self running applications. They ar not TeachText documents like this one (despite the icon's close resemblence). Just open them to read them.
We hope to improve the state of the documentation in the future. Anyone know a good tech writer....
